We are proud to share that the Minissimo Forte has been selected as an Editors’ Choice – Shared Space Recommendation by The Absolute Sound, in the category Stand-Mount & Floorstanding Loudspeakers.

Described by the editors as “the best Minissimo yet,” the Minissimo Forte represents a significant evolution of the iconic Minissimo concept. Its distinctive apostrophe-shaped enclosure remains, as does the integral stand, but beneath the surface the design takes an important step forward.

A key innovation lies in the crossover, described by The Absolute Sound as a “semi-active balanced second order” design. AC power is used to drive a buffer amplifier positioned between the crossover and the drivers, with a pair of Crystal Cable power cords supplied as part of the system. This approach eliminates the need for inductor oil, reduces distortion, and improves overall dynamics.

According to the editors, the result is a loudspeaker that delivers exceptional reproduction of the human voice, combined with surprisingly prodigious bass performance for its size, a balance that defines the Minissimo Forte’s musical character.

The review also highlights the optional machined aluminum Scala “top hat,” which sits atop the speaker to further improve image focus. While optional in name, The Absolute Sound suggests it should be considered essential for extracting the full performance potential of the design.
